How buyers specify deadbolts
Single- and double-cylinder deadbolts for residential entrance doors, bought by hardware distributors alongside our knob locks and lever sets so the whole door keys alike. The 11 models are made here, by the manufacturer, with a 25mm throw and an adjustable backset, for wholesale supply.
What backset and throw do they have?
- Backset 60–70mm, adjustable on the latch; deadbolt throw 25mm. Door thickness accepted is 35–45mm, so the same deadbolt fits the standard residential door preparations without a new bore.
Single or double cylinder — which one?
- Single cylinder has a thumbturn inside and is the usual choice for an entrance door, because it opens from inside without a key. Double cylinder needs a key on both sides and is specified where a glazed panel sits within reach of the lock. Check local egress rules before choosing double cylinder on an exit door.
What do you need from me to quote?
- The model numbers or a drawing, the finish, the quantity per model and the destination port. Minimum order and lead time are confirmed per line; most models fall between 300 and 5,000 pieces, and production starts at 30 days from order confirmation.
